The suspense still works 50 years later, an amazing movie. Saw it at The Bytowne and they used a very old print -- possibly from the mid 80's re-release -- but that just added to the atmosphere. The 5:3 (1.66) film aspect ratio (almost like TV at 4:3, instead of modern movies that are often >2.0) threw me off a bit though -- it may have been used because of the limited set width. In a way the narrow view was more like looking out the window yourself.
