The Nature of Things on CBC has a new series of episodes called Science of the Senses. I just saw the one about hearing and found it very interesting, mostly because they focused on hearing music and how our brains interpret sound. Music fans should definitely check it out.

Airs Thursday January 17 at 10pm ET/PT on CBC Newsworld.

This appearance on "Later... With Jools Holland" apparently launched her career. It's not hard to see why! Amazing video.

Radiohead used the same looping technique -- but with more advanced equipment, probably -- during their performance in Montreal in 2003.

The new album by Shotgun Rules is out, go get it! And check them out on tour on the East coast this fall.

Spiral Beach got a positive review in Exclaim! of their performance at Ottawa's Bluesfest, so I thought I'd check em out. Definitely an original sound and I'm loving it. Their only full-length album is self-titled.
